By Reyhana Heatherington | February 11, 2020

Dr. Deborah Money

Dr. Deborah Money, executive vice-dean of the faculty of medicine, has been awarded a Red Ribbon Award from AIDS Vancouver in recognition of her years of work and dedication to help support people living with HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Money, also a professor in the departments of obstetrics and gynecology, medicine, and the School of Population and Public Health, was one of eight recipients of the award for 2019.

“I am so honoured to be a Red Ribbon Award recipient,” Dr. Money said. “I have spent more than 25 years working with women in HIV care and research, and will continue to advocate for further advancements in these fields.”

Since 2013, AIDS Vancouver has presented the Red Ribbon Awards to individuals and organizations who have had a significant impact on HIV prevention and care in Vancouver. Each year the past recipients of the Red Ribbon Awards nominates individuals and organizations to receive the award.
