Three faculty of medicine researchers have been announced as new Distinguished University Scholars at UBC.
The Distinguished University Scholar (DUS) awards recognize exceptional members of faculty who have distinguished themselves as scholars in research and/or teaching and learning. The award is conferred by UBC’s president on the recommendation of an adjudication panel.
DUS appointees receive a stipend of $20,000 for each of 5 years, plus one-time research support of $20,000.

- Judy Illes, department of medicine, division of neurology
