Arun Kumar Garg receives the Dr. David Hardwick Lifetime Achievement Award

Arun Kumar Garg, Clinical Professor, Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine receives the Dr. David Hardwick Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest award in the Department of Pathology.

“A honor by one’s peers, is the best recognition,” says Dr. Garg. “And I am very humbled and thrilled to receive this award. I have had the privilege of being mentored by three great giants of leaders like Drs. Cam Coady, Don Rix and Dave Hardwick in the field of laboratory medicine and pathology in the province of British Columbia.”

Dr. Arun Kumar Garg has been recognized and awarded with various recognitions, including being the first foundational recipient of the Dr Don Rix Gold medal for life time contribution as leader by the Doctors of BC in 2013, life time leadership award from Canadian Association of Physicians of Indian heritage, and a community award of health care leadership from Dhristi magazine.

The award was presented to Dr. Garg on May 18 by Michael Allard, Head and Professor in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine.
