Fourteen members of the UBC Faculty of Medicine have been named to the Highly Cited Researchers 2018 List.
Clarivate Analytics compiles the list, based on highly cited papers, which are defined as those ranking in the top one per cent by citations in that field and year of publication in the Web of Science.
“It is an incredible achievement to have so many UBC faculty of medicine researchers named to this prestigious list,” said Dr. Dermot Kelleher, Dean, Faculty of Medicine & Vice-President, Health at UBC. “Each researcher has contributed to significant advancements in their respective fields and has made a great impact on the research community.”
Web of Science is a publisher-neutral citation index that includes the sciences, social sciences, and art and humanities.
The following Faculty of Medicine researchers were among 36 UBC academics named to the 5th annual list:
