Two graduate students win the 2017 UBC Three Minute Thesis competition

Two graduate students win the 2017 UBC Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. The final was held at the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre, where eight talented UBC graduate students presented their research in three minutes each, competing for the top prize in this year’s Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition.

Seth Tigchelaar, PhD in Neuroscience: Biomarkers for Spinal Cord Injury, Supervisor: Dr. Brian K. Kwon is the runner up for the 2017 UBC 3MT competition.

The People Choice’s Award went to Sue Peters, PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences for her research titled, “PAY ATTENTION!” Sue’s supervisors include Drs. Lara Boyd, Associate Professor, Department of Physical Therapy and Jayne Garland, Professor, Department of Physical Therapy.
