Folefac Aminkeng, Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Centre for Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics receives two awards from the Canadian Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics. Dr. Aminkeng receives both the Boehringer Ingelheim Postdoctoral Award in Pharmacology and the Publication Award.

The Boehringer Ingelheim Postdoctoral Award in Pharmacology is designed to recognize and stimulate research in the field of Pharmacology made by post-doctoral researchers in a Canadian research laboratory. The Publication Award is presented annually for the best paper in basic or clinical pharmacology irrespective of journal.

Dr. Aminkeng’s research focus is the pharmacogenomics of adverse drug reactions. His research is on monitoring for adverse drug reactions, identifying genetic markers that are predictive of severe adverse drug reactions and implement these in a cost-effective diagnostic screening program to reduce the occurrence of disability and deaths.
