Dr. Shaw was appointed for her significant contributions internationally. She is recognized for her publications and advocacy efforts to advance women’s rights and improve the health of women, newborns, and children. Her past accomplishments include being named as Canada’s spokesperson for the G8/G20 by the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health in 2010.
