Three faculty members recognized for contributions to medical education

Three faculty members have received 2013 Certificate of Merit Awards from the Canadian Association for Medical Education (CAME):

Steven Chang

Steven Chang, Clinical Instructor in the Department of Family Practice, is the Course Director, Clinical Skills in the Northern Medical Program. He has received a Certificate of Recognition from Rotary International for his volunteer work in the Word Health Network, and also received a Postgraduate Teaching Award from the Department of Family Practice.

Paul Kliffer, Clinical Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Pharmacology & Therapeutics (APT), has taught, lectured and mentored residents in the anesthesia residency program since 1991. He received the 2008 Master Teaching Award from the Department of APT and a 2005 Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award from the Faculty of Medicine.

Jill McEwen, Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, is the Undergraduate Education Program Director and the Years 3 & 4 Clerkship Director in the Department of Emergency Medicine. She is also the President-Elect of the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians.

The CAME Certificate of Merit Awards are awarded to faculty members who have made a valuable contribution to medical education.
