Dean Greenwood

By sarah stenabaugh | August 31, 2016

Program: MRSc in Rehabilitation Science
Class of 2021

Hometown: Brantford, Ontario. I have lived 35 years on the North Shore.

Dean.Greenwood_214X300What attracted you to your field of study or research?
Evidence-based standards of care for health care providers are essential for good outcomes, inter-professional cooperation and patient centered care. After 35 years in a private chiropractic practice, I recognize the changes in health care delivery in B.C. and hope to pass on some of what I learn to the next generation.

What excites you about the upcoming year?
The opportunity to engage with other health care experts and to cheer for the UBC football team.

What’s one thing we might be surprised to learn about you?
I play guitar in two local cover bands and support the Children’s Wish Foundation through charitable benefits.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Teaching, publishing, practicing, travelling.

Best piece of advice: My father told me to be your best at whatever you choose in life.

Last vacation destination: My whole family traveled to Munich for a wedding.
