Nine members of the UBC Faculty of Medicine have been included in “The World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds,” a list of 3,200 researchers in 21 fields compiled by Thomson Reuters.
The list is comprised of scientists whose number of citations were in the top 1 per cent in their field in the year of publication. According to an article in the Globe and Mail, UBC had 18 people on the list (including the nine from the Faculty of Medicine), the second-highest number among Canadian institutions.
