Eight Faculty of Medicine students are among 21 UBC scholars who were awarded a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship.
The announcement was made on June 18, 2020 and includes 168 recipients from across Canada who have shown leadership and a high standard of scholarly achievement in the health sciences, social sciences, humanities, natural sciences and engineering fields.
The scholarships, which are valued at $50,000 per year for three years during doctoral studies, will help support Faculty of Medicine recipients’ research in areas that span from public health to experimental medicine.
