Each and every day — from Surrey to Summerland and Terrace to Duncan — thousands of UBC clinical faculty members are training and inspiring the next generation of doctors and healthcare professionals, while simultaneously delivering exceptional care for patients and communities.

This year’s Faculty of Medicine graduates share messages of thanks and gratitude for the clinical faculty members across B.C. who helped shape their journey as students and trainees.

A thank you message from Tianna Magel, MSc in Population and Public Health. Card reads: “The clinical faculty at UBC have inspired me to not only challenge myself, but to also think critically, ask questions and to look at things differently. If it weren’t for the amazing faculty at UBC, my time would not have been as enriching. Thank you!”

Their vast expertise and real-world insights have been invaluable. I am deeply grateful for their support and guidance, which I will forever cherish in my journey ahead.”
A thank you message from Robin Busby, Internal Medicine Residency Program. Card reads: “I have been so lucky to have many role models through the course of my training. The general internists and subspecialists that I have worked with in Victoria and beyond have imparted many pearls of clinical wisdom and have led by example when it comes to providing patient-centered care. I am most thankful for those who took difficult moments and turned them into learning opportunities.”

Without a doubt, it was the kindness, adaptability and receptiveness of clinical faculty and instructors that made engaging with educational content during those first years manageable and helped me to meet my learning goals.”
