Vancouver Summer Program Student Volunteers

The Faculty of Medicine is recruiting UBC Student Volunteers to assist approximately once or twice per week with social and cultural activities held as part of the Vancouver Summer Program (VSP) occurring June 4 to July 4, 2017 and July 15 to August 15, 2017.

Student Volunteers will have the opportunity to work alongside Faculty of Medicine (FoM) staff, supervising and assisting with fun activities and events designed to showcase our amazing city and campus to international students attending UBC as part of the Faculty of Medicine’s VSP. Student Volunteers will also act as Student Ambassadors, assisting international students through the academic component of the VSP by sharing their undergraduate and graduate school experiences, and representing UBC’s inclusive, diverse, and dynamic culture.

The Vancouver Summer Program

Approximately 90 students from around the world will be attending UBC from June 4 to July 4, 2017 and 350 students from July 15 to August 15, 2017 as part of the Vancouver Summer Program hosted by the Faculty of Medicine. These students will be taking two full-time courses during this month-long program. They will also have the opportunity to participate in social and cultural activities and events hosted by Faculty of Medicine staff (this is where our volunteers assist) and in some cases the UBC Provost’s Office.
