Program Director, Postgraduate Medical Education, Family Practice

The Program Director, Family Practice Postgraduate Medical Education, is responsible for the overall conduct and evaluation of the Postgraduate Medical Education program in the Department of Family Practice. The Program Director is expected to liaise with the Department Head, and other educational leaders in the UBC Department of Family Practice and UBC Faculty of Medicine, to ensure that the training program offered is of the highest quality. The Director takes the lead in providing ongoing rich and diverse clinical & educational experience, meets the Royal College standards and objectives of training, and aligns with provincial priorities for family practice.

The incumbent is responsible for determining program specific policies for the FP PG training program. They will support sites in the delivery of the curriculum and clinical training, ensuring the quality of the educational experience. The incumbent will provide oversight to various areas of the program, including the budget, the accreditation process, as well as the resident selection and recruitment process through CaRMS.
