Discipline-Specific Site Lead (DSSL), RCH – Liaison and Evaluator

The Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC), is seeking internal applications for the position of Discipline Specific Site Lead (DSSL), Liason and Evaluator role, for our Undergraduate Education Program. This position is located at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, British Columbia.

This position reports to the Program Director, Undergraduate Medical Education, UBC Department of Medicine.

The incumbent will work extensively with Year 3 students and staff of the UBC Faculty of Medicine at the RCH site.  He/she is expected to keep abreast of the current policies and procedures of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and will ensure ongoing accreditation of the Program by the College. The candidate will be primarily involved in student performance review and support and is expected to participate in Undergraduate education  meetings and feedback issues to the Co- Site DSSLs.

The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of undergraduate medical education at UBC, within Canada and abroad.
