Discipline Specific Site Co-Lead (DSSL), Royal Columbian Hospital

The Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC), is seeking internal applications for the position of Discipline Specific Site Co-Lead (DSSL) for our Undergraduate Education program from current UBC Clinical, Partner, and Tenure Stream Faculty Members.

This position is located at the Royal Columbian Hospital, New Westminster, British Columbia. Successful candidates must currently hold a UBC tenure stream or clinical faculty appointment or be eligible for appointment to a clinical rank.

This 0.12 FTE position reports to the Program Director, Undergraduate Medical Education and the Associate Head Education, UBC Department of Medicine.

The incumbent will work extensively with Year 3 students and staff of the UBC Faculty of Medicine at the RCH site.  He/she is expected to keep abreast of the current policies and procedures of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and will ensure ongoing accreditation of the Program by the College. The candidate will be involved in curriculum development, implementation and review, and may be expected to Chair and participate on a number of undergraduate education related committees.

The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of the undergraduate medical education program at UBC, within Canada and abroad.
