Program: Master of Rehabilitation Science Online Program
Year in program: 3rd year
Hometown: Vancouver, BC

What inspired you to pursue your program?
The profession of occupational therapy has evolved since I graduated, as all professions do over time. I realized that keeping up with my profession involved more than just taking continuing education credits. I was looking for a program that would build on the knowledge and experience that I had, as well as apply it to the real clinical world. The Master of Rehabilitation Science Online Program met my learning and clinical needs. It allows learners to juggle working as a health professional, studying and maintaining a family life.

What are you looking forward to most this upcoming year?
I am looking forward to finishing the last five courses of the program and applying my learning to the clinical setting. I am also looking forward to finishing data collection on a research project we started in 2015. Then, I think I can relish in a good vacation.

What’s one thing we might be surprised to learn about you?
People may be surprised to learn that I accepted my first job as an occupational therapist without knowing which city I was going to move to.

Best piece of advice:
Just keep swimmin’. This too shall pass, so live in the moment – whether it be good or bad.

What superpower do you wish you had?
Eternal giving

Where in the world would you like to get lost?
Anywhere with my family
