Hometown: White Rock, B.C.
Program: Family Medicine, Surrey South Fraser
What attracted you to your field?

The diversity of the profession, the challenges that diversity presents and the absolute joy of helping someone as we navigate through these challenges. I always wanted to have a meaningful impact on my community, therefore I picked family medicine.

What is your favourite moment from your time at UBC?

Cake-day, which is every academic Thursday. We would mingle in the resident lounge, share our ideas and concerns, and just eat cake.

What is one piece of advice you have for students entering your program?

Residency grants you a lot of opportunities to learn and grow. Maximize these experiences, they will pay dividends once you graduate.

What is one small pleasure that brings you joy?

Taro bubble tea with half pearls and half coconut jelly… yum!

What’s next for you?

I will be joining a full-scope family practice clinic in Maple Ridge. I am excited to start building up my practice in the coming year.
