Hometown: Surrey, B.C.
Program: Medical Laboratory Science
Year in Program: 4
What inspired you to pursue your program?

I was drawn to the Medical Laboratory Science program due to the wide range of interesting topics that are taught – from clinical chemistry to histology and pathology – as well as the integration of practical hands-on experience in many of the courses. In addition, the small class sizes make it much easier to really get to know your classmates and build relationships with the teaching team.

Why did you choose UBC?

In my senior year of high school, I took a tour around the UBC campus and immediately knew that UBC was my number one choice for university. In addition to the amazing campus and learning environment, family is a priority for me, so choosing a school that was close to home definitely played a big part in my decision.

What’s top on your bucket list?

Backpacking across Southeast Asia.
