Beyond 75: Imagining the future of medicine at UBC

Northern British Columbia

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Prince George for Beyond 75: Imagining the future of medicine at UBC.

The Faculty of Medicine’s 75th anniversary is an opportunity to look forward and think big. What are the opportunities and challenges we should be thinking about over the next 10 years and beyond?

At this special event, faculty, staff and learners, as well as health partners from urban, rural and Indigenous communities, came together to celebrate, and share their ideas and hopes for the future.

Dr. Paul Winwood, Regional Associate Dean, Northern B.C., reflected on the incredible history of the Northern Medical Program, also marking its 20th anniversary. He also spoke about the importance of community partnerships and the lasting impact of medical and health professions training and research opportunities in the North.
