It is with a heavy heart that I learned the news of the passing of Dr. Djavad Mowafaghian. A man of integrity, generosity, and kindness, Dr. Mowafaghian will be remembered for his genuine care for the health and wellbeing of people around the world. The UBC Faculty of Medicine is fortunate for his transformative philanthropy, which has enabled exceptional research and innovation, including leading-edge interdisciplinary brain health research at the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health. We join President Santa J. Ono in sharing our deepest sympathies with Dr. Mowafaghian’s family.
