Robin Roots recognized with CPA award

Robin Roots

Robin Roots, Clinical Coordinator for the Northern and Rural Cohort with the Department of Physical Therapy, was recognized with this year’s Global Health Award.

The award recognizes a physiotherapist who has made outstanding contributions to promote the profession internationally through educational ventures, program/policy development practice or research collaborations.

A physical therapist based in Prince George, Ms. Roots plays a central role in the path to recovery and rehabilitation for hundreds of patients across northern British Columbia. She is a dedicated instructor and leads the coordination of clinical education for physical therapy students in the Faculty’s Northern and Rural Cohort, which aims to increase the recruitment and retention of physiotherapists to rural and remote areas.
