Community message on B.C. flooding and mudslides

November 19, 2021

Dear members of the Faculty of Medicine community,

As I reflect on the past week and the devastating storms, flooding and mudslides that affected so many families and communities — including many of our students, faculty and staff — my thoughts go out to everyone who has been impacted and to all those that have suffered heartbreaking loss.

It’s at times like this that we see the best in people, and I would like to thank the many people — including members of the Faculty of Medicine community — who have stepped up to help others at this time, offering essential health care, support and comfort during this difficult time.

The UBC Faculty of Medicine is committed to standing with and supporting all members of our community who have been affected. Please see a list of supports below.
