
Dr. James McKendry and his team aim to uncover how nutrition and exercise influence muscle performance and the role each plays in healthy aging. As an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems and an investigator with the Edwin S.H. Leong Centre for Healthy Aging at UBC, Dr. McKendry encourages everyone to prepare for recovery from illness and injury in older age—a way of thinking about supporting muscle health that emerged from his research.
