Director, Clinical Faculty Affairs

The Faculty of Medicine at The University of British Columbia invites applications for the position of Director, Clinical Faculty Affairs. This is a 0.2 FTE [part-time] position for a three (3) year term with the possibility of renewal, subject to satisfactory review and is expected to be filled by a candidate internal to the Faculty.

Clinical Faculty are vital to the education of health care professionals and the quality of health care throughout the province of British Columbia. This portfolio facilitates two-way communication and understanding between Clinical Faculty and the UBC Faculty of Medicine. This position promotes Clinical Faculty development and initiatives in teaching and scholarly activity, educational leadership, and research. This position encourages participation of Clinical Faculty in the administration and operation of the Faculty, its Departments, and at various sites throughout BC.

The Director, Clinical Faculty Affairs reports to the Executive Associate Dean, Clinical Partnerships and Professionalism and Executive Director, Faculty Affairs, UBC Faculty of Medicine.

Candidates should have a graduate degree in a health-related discipline, professional experience working in a complex setting and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in a health environment. Candidates should have a clinical faculty appointment in the UBC Faculty of Medicine and have excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
