Chair, UGME Policy Advisory Subcommittee

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia is pleased to invite applications for the position of Chair, UGME Policy Advisory Subcommittee. This is a 0.10 FTE (1/2 day per week) position for a three (3) year term with the possibility of renewal, subject to satisfactory review, and is expected to be filled by a candidate internal to the Faculty.

The University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine, in collaboration with the Provincial Government, is committed to training the health professionals of the future. The Chair, UGME Policy Advisory Subcommittee provides leadership in the development and management of MDUP policies, ensuring that they meet relevant Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS) accreditation standards.

The Chair, UGME Policy Advisory Subcommittee reports to the Chair, UGME Committee and meets regularly with Faculty Leaders.

The successful candidate will hold an MD or PhD in a health-related discipline. The ideal candidate will be familiar with CACMS accreditation standards; have knowledge of UBC’s MD Undergraduate Program; administrative experience, collaborative leadership skills, and excellent interpersonal, communication and collaborative negotiating skills. Applicants must have a current UBC academic or clinical faculty appointment.
