Announcements for Visiting Students

IMPORTANT NEWS AND UPDATES

 

2011-2012 ELECTIVE YEAR : August 29, 11 – August 24, 12

 

1.  As of June 10, 2011 due to capacity, no further elective applications will be accepted for electives occurring AUG 29-NOV 20, 11 (inclusive).

2. CAPACITY RESTRICTIONS: Due to UBC students also on rotation, there is limited capacity between March 5-April 27, 2012. Students are encouraged to request alternative dates for more elective opportunities.

2. Students whose applications are received after this date will be contacted and provided an opportunity to:

    a. Amend their application dates for electives occurring Nov 21, 11-Aug 24, 12
    b. Have their application and fee returned

3. If additional capacity becomes available, details will be posted on this page

CANADA POST STRIKE

1. Please check with your local postal outlets for any delays in mail service delivery. Information and updates can be found here: http://clients.infopost.ca/en/

2. Should additional services be delayed, students may choose a courier service as an alternative.

 

H1N1 ADVISORY

We strongly encourage students to have flu shots (routine and H1N1, when available). Though not mandatory, visiting students should be aware that their clinical experiences may be significantly curtailed in the event of a severe outbreak, if they are not immunized.
