**Notes for prospective 2010/2011 applicants**

Beginning this cycle (2010-2011), the minimum MCAT requirement for applying to our program is a score of no less than 7 in any of Verbal Reasoning, Biological & Physical Sciences and no less than M in the Writing Sample. Applicants with scores lower than these will be made ineligible. We will accept MCAT score reports from April 2006 to September 2010 inclusive.

The autobiographical essay will no longer be required as part of the on-line application.

Current and former UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan students now have the option to submit a request through their on-line application if they wish for their UBC transcripts to be accessed electronically through the Student Information Services Centre (SISC). This will remove the need to submit paper transcripts; however, we will continue to accept paper transcripts from UBC as well. Failure to submit a UBC transcript via one of these two methods will render an application ineligible. Official transcripts from all institutions, requests to access UBC transcripts through the SISC, and other documentation must be received by the application deadline.

For entrance in 2011, the percentage of seats made available to out-of-province applicants will increase to 10%, up to 29 seats.
