Rental of the MSAC Centre
The MSAC is available for rental to UBC Faculty of Medicine students, residents, alumni, faculty, clinical faculty, and departments.
Rental Considerations
The main hall comfortably accommodates 60 in theatre style (row) seating, 40 around tables for a workshop, and 65-85 for a banquet. The smaller hall seats 40 in rows or 20 around tables. PowerPoint presentations do not work well during the day due to the skylights.

UBC medical students and alumni with paid membership to the UBC Medical Alumni Association qualify for rental rate discounts.
The rental price includes use of the kitchen and courtyard, tables and chairs for up to 100 people, a stereo system in the main hall, a microphone and podium. GST and the SOCAN music tax are added.
Any caterer or food provider may be used. Liquor consumption is discouraged, but can be served for dinners or evening receptions. A Liquor Serving Permit must be purchased from any BC Liquor Distribution Branch by someone with a Serving It Right "S" designation who will attend the event.
All events must become quiet after 11 pm. Organizers and guests must comply with the MSAC House Rules.
Tables and chairs available:
Eight 42" round tables (on wheels), and 55 green armchairs (photo at top of page).
Eight 36" square tables (on wheels), and 45 grey armchairs.
Twelve 96"x30" banquet tables.
